Method 1: Deep Sea Raids

Level 85+3.5M GP/hrHigh Risk

Overview

Deep Sea Raids are the highest profit activity currently available in the Sailing skill. By venturing into the Wilderness Waters (Level 50+ Wilderness), you can hunt elite NPC ships known as "Ghost Captains". Unlike regular mobs, these captains drop noted resources and high-tier equipment.

Method 1: Deep Sea Raids

Critical Risk Warning

This is a PvP Zone. Other players can board your ship, kill you, and steal your cargo.

  • Skull Trick: Do not use "Auto-Retaliate" on your cannons. Players may swim near your target to make you skull on them.
  • Escape: Bring a Teleport to House tab. You cannot teleport while in ship combat, but you can if you disembark to a nearby island.

Recommended Setup

  • Ship: Mahogany Galleon
  • Cannons: Heavy Cannons (x4)
  • Crew: Undead Crew (Immune to fear)
  • Ammo: Dragon Cannonballs

Loot Table Highlights

  • Cursed Anchor: 15.2M
  • Dragon Chainbody: 150k
  • Onyx Bolt Tips: ~400k/hr
  • Runite Ore (Noted): ~800k/hr

Method 2: The Kraken Boss

Level 90+2.8M GP/hrMedium Risk

The Great Kraken is an instanced boss fight, meaning you don't have to worry about PKers. However, the boss itself is deadly. It requires precise ship movement to avoid its "Tentacle Slam" attack which can one-shot smaller vessels.

The Strategy

  1. Phase 1 (Tentacles): Sail in a wide circle at full speed (40+ knots). Fire broadsides at the 4 tentacles. Do not stop moving.
  2. Phase 2 (Submerge): The Kraken will dive. Watch for bubbles on the water surface and steer clear immediately.
  3. Phase 3 (The Maw): The head emerges. It takes 2x damage from Explosive Shells. Unleash your special attacks here.
Method 2: The Kraken Boss

Why farm Kraken?

It drops the Kraken Scale (100% drop rate), which is used to charge the Trident of the Seas (i). This ensures a consistent profit floor of 100k per kill, regardless of RNG.

Method 3: Shipwreck Salvage

Level 75+2.1M GP/hrSafe

Salvaging is a non-combat method that involves diving into sunken ships to recover lost cargo. It requires the Diving Bell upgrade.

Step 1
Locate a wreck using the Sextant tool.
Step 2
Dive down and solve the "Oxygen Puzzle".
Step 3
Loot chests for Jewelry and Artifacts.
Method 3: Shipwreck Salvage

*Note: While safe from combat, you can drown if you run out of Oxygen. Upgrade your Diving Bell to stay under longer.

Method 4: Exotic Cargo Runs

Level 60+1.2M GP/hrSafe
